New Dual-Band Omni Antennas for Tactical Radios and Unmanned Systems

Press Release from Southwest Antennas

Southwest Antennas is expanding our line of dual-band antenna solutions with two new S and C-band omni-directional antennas.

Featuring coverage for two popular frequency bands and peak gain several degrees above the horizon, these new antennas are ideal for use in ground-ground or ground-air communication scenarios. These antennas are well suited for use on handheld or body worn tactical radio systems and are compatible with all multi-antenna MIMO / MANET mesh radio platforms and are also fully compatible with single antenna radio systems, software defined radios, and other communication equipment.

Additionally, these antennas can be deployed on unmanned systems (ground or air), manned vehicles, and fixed site infrastructure.

Dual-band antennas can be utilized to reduce kit complexity by eliminating number of antennas needed for a deployment, or allow users with radios capable of interference avoidance / anti-jamming to utilize multiple bands on a single antenna to improve radio performance in contested RF environments.

Full technical specifications and datasheets are available for download on the Southwest Antennas website.
